Hashing

We’ve been trying to build up G’s endurance. She is so strong and so fast, but fades so quickly.   She deserves more than that Achilles heel on the pitch. We (mostly Beckie) have been taking her for 1-3 mile runs, and G has been doing great. But its hard to get anyone, let alone a tinyHuman, to embrace suffering without an immediate payoff.

So I stole this from the Hash House Harriers.   Except for the beer handups.   A Treasure Hunt, with a reward at the end. I laid out the course like a good rabbit.

1st clue at the bottom of the driveway.

My knowledge of G’s knowledge of our hood worked perfectly, for a first try. She read and resolved every clue.

lollipops and soccer socks were the payoff

The only improvement would be for the chase to go more than a mile. But it was smart to start small.

Next weekend…

  1. Mac just lost two teeth also…molars in the back. Has the Tooth fairy been to your house yet? She left Mac a big plastic tooth to put the tooth in and put under her pillow.

I love clue hunts. reading clues and figuring out where to go is fun…only if you go to the wrong place and there is nothing there, then you have to back up and try again! Until all the prizes are found. They use to make our clues rhyme, so we often got it wrong the first time.
