*Officials debated rigorously over whether this constitutes one word, or two. It was decided one based on the tinyHuman’s usage of them together, in close juxtaposition, or at the same time.

  1. Apparently the Scottsdale Council (less two members – Kathy Littlefield and Guy Phillips) has NOT used a dictionary so they are ignorant of what PRESERVE means.

    If their excuse is they didn’t have a dictionary handy (so don’t know the definition of preserve) their actions are ignorant at best. The real truth here is they, arbitrarily, have decided to ignore the outcry of their constituents and have the gall to implement their ridiculous and outrageous plan to desecrate the Preserve the people of Scottsdale have nurtured and protected.

    Wish it was still the old West. We could tar and feather them and put them in the stocks to be ridiculed for their egregious abuse of power.

  2. Even though there have been several plans that have been put out there for what this commercial project is going to look like, the proponents keep saying that they have no idea of what is going to go on the preserve.
    They use this as a cover to not tell us what they really are planning now and in the future. They have hired and architect to design the buildings and given them a half million dollar contract and are trying to tell us that they have not given them any direction in size and scope. That is an outright lie.
    If you look at the recently obtained documents, they have plans for a huge complex with jeep tours and packages with local resorts. This along with an outdoor theater for ” concerts” and a rock climbing wall. Seriously a rock climbing wall in the mountains.
    All this along with weddings, meetings, catered dinners, a gift shop and restaurant.
    Jim Lane and the council members who are pushing this have forgotten what the meaning of a preserve is.
    The only way to get this to a public vote is to support Bob Littlefield and Guy Phillips. They are the two candidates who have not been bought by the special interest groups who support this.
    Look at the architectural firm and DMB among others and see who they have donated to for their participation in this commercial project

  3. The preserve use to be my sanctuary now it has become a commercialized tourist attraction. Building a DDC will only compound the situation. Besides I can think of many other projects that could use the funding. like my children’s school, they are constantly under funded and yet we can spend ridiculous amounts of money on a DDC
