WOW! I’m exhausted. drained. left for dead. Who knew throwing a party for 4 yr olds would be harder than putting on my wedding.
Entertain about 25-30 ranging from 1-70 with the potential for every possible gastrointestinal or preferential oddity ranging from no strawberry to no cashews to no gluten to no lactose. The entire bed of an F150 just barely contained all the food, chairs, toys, tables and options we ported over to the Las Sendas park.
i think a lot of people had fun, but i mostly did not. too busy watching 2 kids and 1 dog and ordering pizza for 20. i anointed myself Life Guard of the Bouncy Castle, cuz no one else did. 2 kids still suffered minor injuries, i am very relieved i did not get sued. Is 6 too many on the slide at one time?

The Lollipop Hunt – 200 candies took 10 min to setup, and 1 min to tear down
Looks like a good time was had by all.. these are
thankless tasks, but ones that they’ll remember
forever. I still remember some of my 5-7yr old
parties. Fun times, and yes, it *IS* a big deal
for a kid.
Good call on being the bouncer ref!
Last party we attended some kids got too wild
and one ended up with a really bad (almost broken?) bloddy nose.
None of the parents saw what happened, but one of the kids
is pretty much a brat so we all knew who was responsible for the carnage.
I think the hosts had to pay for a ‘bodily fluid’ cleaning deposit.
Thankfully, my kids escaped the melee!
Loved the pictures and the write up. We did lollypop hunts on the front lawn of the Spring Valley house for your birthday parties for a few years. Would always hope that the weather would be warm enough and nice enough (no snow) to have that event as part of the party. It would get the children outside for a while.
Has Genevieve taken to calling herself something different or did the bakery get her name wrong?
Mom
@tim – yeah im glad she had fun, cuz i kinda didn’t. the injuries happened right in front of me and so quick there was nothing i could do – kids just do dumbass shit. thankfully the parents understood.
@mom – is that where i got the idea? we didnt even know the name was wrong til we saw the photo, at which point the food was long gone.
Nice work Jason! I noticed the name too. Getting your name misspelled is half the fun of having a unique name! 1 out of 2 isn’t bad, right?
Way to deliver for your girls! Making memories along the way…
Good for you!
Great pictures. Sure was fun to see so many excited kids…particularly G.!! I’ll send the rest of mine to add to yours…for the most part they are so good, but it will give you a record of who attended the party.
@Betty – yeah totally upload them, you have a website now yes?
